이용약관 (한국어)
Article 1Purpose
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the operator and users, and other necessary matters, in connection with the use of eOrth (the "Service"), a travel-record social service provided by eOrth (Representative: Junsang Yoon, the "Operator").
Article 2Definitions
- "Service" means the mobile application and all related services provided by the Operator so that users can create, store, and share travel records (photos, videos, text, and the like) and communicate with other users.
- "User" or "Member" means a person who agrees to these Terms, creates an account, and uses the Service.
- "Content" means any and all information a user posts or transmits to the Service, including photos, videos, text, comments, and messages.
- "Premium" means the additional features the Operator provides, whether for a fee or free of charge (such as username fonts and photo-strip decoration). Where provided for a fee, it may be billed as a subscription or as a one-time payment.
Article 3Posting and Amendment of These Terms
- The Operator posts these Terms where users can easily review them, such as on the settings screen in the app.
- The Operator may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws.
- When these Terms are amended, the Operator will state the effective date and the reason for the amendment and give notice, such as through an in-app announcement, from 7 days before the effective date (30 days before, for changes unfavorable to users).
- If a user continues to use the Service after the effective date of the amended Terms, the user is deemed to have agreed to them. A user who does not agree may terminate the service agreement (close the account).
Article 4Sign-up and Accounts
- You may sign up with an email address or a social account (Google, Apple). The service agreement is formed when you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy.
- The minimum age for signing up is the age set by the laws of the country where you reside, and anyone below that age may not sign up as a member (in the Republic of Korea, 14). The sign-up screen shows the minimum age that applies to your country of residence, and you must confirm that you meet it. On the sign-up screen, changing your country of residence applies that country's minimum age, and you are asked to confirm again if the age is different. Changing your country of residence in Settings after sign-up does not re-evaluate an account that has already been created.
- Each user has one unique username (handle), which also serves as the name shown to other users. A username cannot be changed again for a set period (2 weeks) after it is changed.
- Users are responsible for managing their own account and password and must not allow a third party to use them. If you suspect your account has been compromised, notify the Operator immediately.
- Use of the Service may be restricted where a user has misappropriated another person's information or signed up with false information.
Article 5Provision and Modification of the Service
- The Operator provides the following services.
- Creating and storing travel records (photos, videos, text, photo strips, and the like)
- Visualization of countries visited (globe, continent and regional maps, and the like), together with badges and statistics
- Finding past trips among the photos in your device gallery and importing them as records
- Importing posts into the app from an external blog that the user owns and has verified
- Social features such as sharing records, mates (mutual connections), comments, likes, and direct messages
- Additional features such as Premium
- The Service is provided 24 hours a day, year round, as a rule, but may be suspended temporarily for system maintenance, faults, or operational needs.
- The Operator may modify or discontinue the substance or features of the Service, and will give advance notice of material changes or discontinuation.
Article 6Rights in Content and Its Use
- Copyright in the Content a user creates belongs to that user.
- By posting Content to the Service, the user grants the Operator a license to store, reproduce, modify (technical transformations such as resizing), display, and transmit that Content to the extent necessary to operate, improve, and promote the Service (promotion being limited to Content set to public). This license ends when the Content is deleted or the user closes their account (deletion may take some time for technical reasons such as backups).
- Users may set the visibility of the Content they post (visible to mates, visible only to me, and so on), and the primary responsibility for managing the resulting exposure lies with the user.
- Records that are stored only on your device and not posted are not kept on our servers, and the Operator is not responsible for their loss through events such as changing devices or deleting the app.
Article 7User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
Users must not engage in any of the following.
- Misappropriating another person's personal data, or impersonation
- Posting Content that infringes another person's rights, such as copyright or likeness rights (photos in which other people, such as travel companions, are identifiable must be posted with those people's consent)
- Posting obscene material, hateful or discriminatory expression, violent Content, or unlawful information
- Harassment, stalking, or defamation of others
- Spam, repetitive posting, or commercial advertising (except where permitted by the Operator)
- Conduct that interferes with the normal operation of the Service (abnormal access, use of automated means, exploiting vulnerabilities, and the like)
- Any other conduct contrary to applicable laws or to public order and morals
Article 8Content Moderation and Restrictions on Use
- Users may report Content or users engaged in prohibited conduct using the in-app reporting feature, and may use the blocking feature to mutually block exposure with a particular user.
- On receiving a report or becoming aware of an issue itself, the Operator will review the Content and, where it determines that the Content constitutes prohibited conduct, may without prior notice delete the Content or limit its exposure, and may suspend the account temporarily or restrict its use permanently.
- A user who objects to a restriction may raise the objection by email (eorth26@gmail.com), and the Operator will lift the measure where it determines the objection is justified.
Article 9Premium and Other Paid Services
- The Operator may provide paid services such as Premium. Where it does, the fee, term, and benefits are shown on the payment screen.
- Premium features are currently provided free of charge to all users, and no fee is charged to users. Paid billing has not been introduced.
- The Operator may in the future make all or part of the Premium features paid. In that case the Operator will give advance notice of the timing, the features concerned, and the fee, and no payment will be made automatically without the user's consent.
- If a transition to paid service occurs, billing may be by subscription or one-time payment, and payment, cancellation, and refunds follow the payment policies of each app marketplace (Apple App Store, Google Play) and applicable laws (including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce).
- Where payment is by subscription, benefits continue until the end of the period already paid for even if the subscription is cancelled, and stop once that period ends. Content already created with Premium features (such as photo strips without a logo) is retained after the benefits end.
Article 10Advertising
- The Operator may place advertisements on Service screens (such as the feed).
- Advertisements are shown regardless of whether a user uses Premium features. Premium does not include ad removal.
- The handling of user information for personalized advertising, and how to consent to or refuse it, is explained in the Privacy Policy.
- Any transaction a user enters into with an advertiser through an advertisement is a matter between the user and the advertiser, and the Operator is not responsible for transactions between advertisers and users. This does not apply where the Operator acted with intent or gross negligence.
Article 11Termination and Account Closure
- Users may request account closure at any time from the account settings in the app.
- After a closure request there is a 30-day grace period during which signing in again restores the account; once the grace period passes, the account and its data are destroyed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- The Operator may terminate the service agreement where a user has materially or repeatedly breached these Terms.
Article 12Disclaimers
- The Operator is released from liability where it cannot provide the Service due to force majeure, such as a natural disaster or an outage at a telecommunications or cloud provider.
- The Operator is not responsible for interruptions to a user's use of the Service caused by reasons attributable to that user.
- Responsibility for the reliability and accuracy of Content posted by a user lies with that user. The Operator does not intervene in disputes arising between users, or between a user and a third party, through Content, and is not liable to compensate for any resulting damage. This does not apply where the Operator acted with intent or gross negligence.
- Unless applicable laws provide otherwise, the Operator is not liable in connection with the use of services provided free of charge.
Article 13Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- The laws of the Republic of Korea apply to these Terms and to use of the Service.
- If a dispute arises in connection with use of the Service, the Operator and the user will confer in good faith; if no agreement is reached, either party may bring an action before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.

Addendum
These Terms take effect on October 15, 2026. (First effective July 10, 2026; amended July 22 and August 4, 2026, and amended again.)
Contents of this amendment
- Article 4: The minimum sign-up age changes from a fixed 14 to the age set by the laws of the user's country of residence. It remains 14 in the Republic of Korea (Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization), while some countries in the European Economic Area set 15 or 16 under Article 8 of the GDPR, and the United States sets 13 under COPPA. Because the minimum age rises above 14 in some countries, this is a change unfavorable to users, so notice is given 30 days before the effective date under Article 3(3).
Contents of the previous amendment (effective August 4, 2026): Article 9 states that Premium is provided free of charge and adds an obligation to give advance notice of any future transition to paid service; Article 2 corrects the definition of "Premium"; Article 10 states that advertisements are shown regardless of Premium use; Article 5 adds newly provided services to the list.
