After a trip the photos remain, but they scatter across a gallery and quietly get lost. Remembering which year you went where means scrolling back through thousands of images, and the memory of the journey blurs before you find it.
eOrth brings those photos back as trips and stacks them into something you can actually see. It reads the photos in your gallery, groups them by date and place to find your past trips, and puts one of your own pictures on every country you have visited. You do not have to write anything new — your globe starts filling in the first time you open the app.
Location and notification permissions are optional. You can enter the countries you visited by hand and use every feature without granting them.
Photos taken outside your home country are grouped by date and place into trips. A journey from years ago comes back as long as the photos are still there, and everything from departure to return is bundled into a single trip card. There is no need to pick photos one by one — just confirm the trips it found.
Every country you have visited gets one of your photos. Switch between the neon globe and the glass globe, and see the regions you travelled to marked on the map. Tap a country to jump straight into the records you left there.
Choose from Feed, Blog, Strip and Moment. Keep it light with photos, write a long journal entry, or lay four shots into a strip. Whichever you choose, one trip becomes one card that stacks up on your profile.
Collect badges based on the countries and cities you have visited and how you travel. You can see at a glance how many countries you have reached and which continents are still empty.
Find friends by username, or get suggestions from people whose travel taste is close to yours. Once you are mates you can see each other's records, leave comments and likes, and send a record you liked straight into a message.
Staying somewhere for a while — a working holiday or an exchange semester — can be logged as a long stay, kept separate from short trips.
1. Download the app and create an account.
Sign up with email, Google or Apple. Your records are tied to the account,
so they follow you when you change devices.
2. Set your home country.
eOrth uses it to tell which photos were taken abroad,
so this is the starting point for finding your past trips.
3. Import your past trips.
Allow access to your photo library and eOrth will find past trips and turn them into cards.
Keep the ones you want and skip the rest.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
Photos you put into a record are backed up so they survive a change of device. Your whole gallery is never uploaded, and the analysis that finds trips runs on your device. You choose the visibility of each record yourself.
Do I have to grant location access?
No. Location and notification permissions are both optional, and you can enter the countries you visited by hand. If you do grant location access, eOrth can fill in your home country automatically and detect arrivals abroad.
Can other people see my records?
Each record has its own visibility setting. You can limit a record to people you are mates with, or lock it so only you can see it. Your home country is shown only on the profile screen of people you are mates with.
Does it cost anything?
To mark the launch, every feature is currently open with no restrictions. If paid products are introduced, we will announce it inside the app beforehand.
Are there ads?
Ad cards appear in the social feed. See the "About ads" section below for details.
Is there an Android version?
eOrth is currently available on iOS. An Android version is in preparation.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from the settings screen in the app, and your data is removed from our servers and storage. The steps are described on the account deletion page.

eOrth shows ads in the social feed to keep the service running. They appear as cards between posts in the feed, and they never cover the screen on launch or sit where they would interfere with the buttons you are reaching for.
Ads are served through Google LLC's AdMob and affiliate advertising services. An advertising identifier may be used in this process, and on iOS personalised ads are served only when you have allowed app tracking. Every feature works the same whether you allow it or not.
